In consideration of yesterday’s public health emergency declaration on COVID- 19, our church would like to respect Governor Tom Wolf and the medical staff of our state.
Out of great concern for our community’s health, and along with the fact that Lewisburg Alliance draws such large numbers of worshipers, Lewisburg Alliance Church’s leadership has decided not to hold public services through Sunday, April 5. Instead, Lewisburg will broadcast its services exclusively online.
All children’s ministry, including, Awana and Student Ministries, are cancelled. Also, Small Groups, Men’s and Women’s Ministry are asked not to meet for these two weeks.
While there will be no services held at the church building located at 137 Supplee Mill Road Lewisburg this weekend, we will continue to monitor the situation week by week and hope to resume the assembly in the very near future.
Services will be broadcast on Facebook (search for Lewisburg Alliance) and streamed on lewisburgalliance.com.
As a community of believers, we want to remind you to do three things regarding COVID-19:
- Be practical about hygiene and safety
- Be prayerful for God’s protection - Phil. 4 reminds us, ‘Don’t worry about anything and pray about everything!’”
- Pray for our President
- Pray for our Governor
- Pray for those around the globe
- Pray for God’s protection
- Continue to proclaim the Gospel
On Sunday, let’s come together through our online church service, but let’s remember that the Great Commission is still our mandate. Continue to proclaim the Gospel (Good News) to those who do not know the Lord.
Let us pray for this challenge:
"Lord, you are bigger than this virus, and we are praying that these numbers will start going down. We are praying for anyone that has it will be healed. And we are praying, Lord, that we will not live in fear but we will live in faith “Give wisdom to Vice President Pence, his team, Governor Wolf, all the medical staff as they deal with this. Help them to know what to do, when to do it, the steps to take, the practical side of this challenge. But Lord we do not rely only on that alone. We are prayerful, looking to you, knowing that you are God and you love us.” In Jesus name. Amen."
