AWANA is starting soon! Our AWANA program will begin on Wednesday, September 17th. Awana is held every week throughout the school year. We meet in the Worship Center from 6:15-7:30 pm. Dave Muckel
Lead Pastor
Hello! I am Pastor Dave Muckel and I am the lead pastor here at LAC. I was raised in the Christian & Missionary Alliance church, as my father was an ordained pastor for the C&MA denomination. I previously served as a youth pastor and lead pastor at churches in Tennessee and Virginia. While in Virginia, I helped to enable and support several local ministries. I love to preach God's word and I believe in leading from the heart through genuine relationships, while also fostering a community of believers committed to each other, their community and the Word of God. I have been married to my wife Ritzy for 22 years. We have two sons, Josiah and Nathan. In my spare time, I enjoy RV camping with my family.

Michael Phelps

Hi, I am Pastor Michael Phelps. I have attended Lewisburg Alliance Church since my family moved to the Mifflinburg area in 1978. My wife Debra and I met and were married here in Lewisburg. We have four children Rachel, Joshua, Luke and Seth.
Deb and I owned and operated a camping resort north of Mifflinburg. We felt God’s calling and sold the park in 2008. I did my schooling through the Alliance’s Ministerial Study Program and came on staff in 2010. I oversee the small group ministry, Christian Education, and outreach.

Tim Halteman
Youth Pastor
Hi! My name is Tim Halteman and I am married to our Children's Ministry Director, Lauren. I am a native of Lancaster, PA, and I received my undergraduate degree from Penn State University in Forestry and Rec and Park Management. I also graduated from the Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary in Fresno, CA. I am excited for this opportunity to partner with all of you in ministry! I love the Lord, my family, the outdoors, and I love sharing Christ with everyone.
I believe that by creating and strengthening relationships in our student ministry, we can grow together and go out into our world to share the love of Jesus. I look forward to walking alongside you, with my sleeves rolled up!

Nancy Rothermel
Administrative Assistant
Hi! I am Nancy Rothermel. I am the Administrative Assistant at LAC and was hired in March, 2024. I come to LAC with many years of experience as an administrative assistant in higher education. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and an Associate’s degree in Accounting. I live in Pitman with my husband Mark, who is a retired pastor and is presently the designated pastor at St. James Lutheran Church, Pitman. We have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. Some of my interests are cooking, baking, going to the gym and spending time with the Lord in nature. Every day at LAC is a new adventure and I love using my gifts in this way to serve the Lord and His people.

Barry Cooper
Facility & Property Manager
Hi, I am Barry Cooper. I am married to Ruthann and have a son and daughter and two grandsons. I have been attending Lewisburg Alliance Church since 2006 when I and my wife relocated to the Lewisburg area from Elysburg, PA. I grew up in the Central Pennsylvania area and graduated from Williamsport Area Community College (now Penn College). I retired from PPL after 39 years working as an electrician. I also recently retired after 50 years from the Pennsylvania Game Commission as a Deputy Game Warden.
I served LAC as a Trustee for many years and then become part of LAC staff as Property and Facility Manager. It is a privilege to be part of the LAC team and serve the Lord in this capacity.

Kevin Heimbach
Tech Director
Hi, I am Kevin Heimbach and I have been attending LAC for many years. I have volunteered in the tech area and joined the staff in 2021 as their part time director.
My wife Lori and I have two daughters, Lauren and Kaylyn, who are also involved in ministry areas here at LAC.
As always, I am so often reminded of the faithfulness of God as I joyously serve here at LAC.
